Research Analyst III - Health Policy Research Center

Optimal has openings for Research Analyst III working independently but also functioning effectively as a member of the project team to perform the following:

Responsibilities:

Assist senior researchers in a variety of research and analysis tasks including: collection and preparation of data from surveys and administrative information systems, performing basic analysis and developing, coding, and scoring of survey instruments, conducting literature searches, contributing to written reports and proposals, and providing project management support.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Health, Health Policy, Economics, Public Policy, or Sociology; statistics coursework required.
  • Must have two years of relevant experience, including experience with statistics and programming with statistical packages (such as SAS or STATA); analytical, qualitative, and quantitative research; the U.S. healthcare system, including Medicaid and/or Medicare; and in Pay for Performance, national healthcare quality improvement initiatives, and related data such as HEDIS, CAHPS, or HOS.
