Optimal Assists Office of Vocational and Adult Education

Optimal and its subcontractors, Abt Associates Inc, the Conference Board of Canada, and DTI Associates, Inc. are providing event and logistical planning support to the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education, Division of Adult Education and Literacy (OVAE/DAEL) in efforts to promote the use of technology in the classroom, assist with distance learning programs, and enhancement adult education and reading/literacy programs. This project is authorized through the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act.
The Optimal team provides support in four areas: working group meetings, website maintenance, identifying and managing subject matter experts, and support for the annual state directors meeting. This is a multi-dimensional effort that requires in-depth expertise in program evaluation and education policy analysis, as well as experience in events and logistical planning.
