College Park, MD- June 24, 2016-- The U.S Department of Health and Human Services awarded their multiple award Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract (SPARC) IDIQ, and Optimal Solutions Group, LLC was part of the winning CMS SPARC team. The contract is to provide enterprise software, database and integration services to CMS.

The SPARC environment will involve a phased approach with emphasizes on the need for integration and requirements for independent review and the decision points in the acquisition and delivery of CMS’ software development services. CMS’ goal is to develop a transformed and modern health care system.

This 25 billion dollar contract vehicle will last ten years and some of the other members of the CMS SPARC team will include small business contractors, woman-owned, Hub Zones, and Service Disabled businesses. As the largest purchaser of health care in the United States, CMS’ programs account for more than one third of the dollars spent on health care in the U.S. economy.
