Optimal Awarded Washington State Document Accessibility & PDF Remediation Contract

The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has awarded a new contract for document accessibility remediation under Contract (No. 02024).
This cooperative agreement will have a five-year period of performance, is valued at $5.5 million, and is available to all eligible1 State of Washington public-sector organizations. The work will focus on transforming documents into formats that align with accessibility standards, ensuring usability for individuals with disabilities and supporting long-term compliance efforts.
Optimal will deliver services through a technology-driven remediation approach, combining automation and artificial intelligence options through Revelo Software’s e-508 platform with expert validation to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. This approach supports:
- High-volume document remediation across diverse formats
- Structured workflows for intake, tracking, and reporting
- Quality assurance aligned with accessibility standards and assistive technology use
- AI options for time savings, reduced costs, and scalability
Optimal is the developer of and an authorized reseller of Revelo Software products, which include a broader accessibility end-to-end accessibility solution ecosystem for web accessibility, document accessibility, on-demand training, and Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) evaluation.
