Optimal Solutions Group, LLC (Optimal) welcomed Dr. Ernst Nilsson as part of its Brown Bag Series. Dr. Nilsson’s presentation, entitled “Benefits Realization from Large Investments in IT” addressed the following key points:

  • Reasons why big IT investments seldom deliver value and how this problem can be remedied;
  • Using IT investments as a platform to grow value-adding applications; and
  • The need to embrace agile, rapid and incremental development rather than a traditional “waterfall” approach.
